We had an amazing experience staying in a camping barrel at Framtid Camping Lodging Barrels. The location was perfect, with a lovely little town in Iceland surrounding us. The barrels were clean, modern, and cozy, with a heater to keep us warm. We enjoyed having dinner at the little table and chairs inside the barrels. The shared space with a kitchen was convenient, and we met some nice people while cooking. Though it was a remote town, the lodging barrels were right in the middle of town, striking the perfect balance between comfort and nature. We also appreciated the nearby cafe and restaurant. I would highly recommend this place to a friend!
The WiFi in the barrels didn't work, but it was available in the common areas. Additionally, there was a small fee for using the shower, but it was affordable.

I had such a unique and memorable experience staying at Framtid Camping Lodging Barrels. The barrel design was clever and cozy, and the beds were comfortable. Despite the weather being cold outside, the inside of the barrel was spotlessly clean and well-heated. The location was beautiful, with stunning surroundings and a lovely village nearby. The staff were friendly and accommodating, even offering to make us a sandwich when we arrived late. I highly recommend this place for a one-of-a-kind stay.

Receptionist was friendly, welcoming. Barrels awesome. More heaters recommended for late autumn/winter guests. Clean location. Stayed at hostel, clean, comfortable, best hostel ever. Nice views, great bathroom, warm. Breakfast buffet style, not included in room rate. Hostel manager offered us to stay due to late arrival. Called at 1:30 am, staff explained politely. Staff took care of us. Campground well equipped, lovely barrels. New, clean bathroom facilities. Best lodging experience in Iceland.
